蒸気のドラムは水管ボイラーの標準機能である。それは水管の先端に水/蒸気の貯蔵所である。ドラムは水管で発生する蒸気を貯え、蒸気/水混合物のための段階分離器として機能する。蒸気ドラムへの「より熱い」-水/および飽和蒸気の蓄積の熱く、冷水の助け間の密度の相違。

進み具合
分けられた蒸気はドラムの上セクションから引かれ、プロセスのために配られる。飽和蒸気のそれ以上の暖房は過熱蒸気を普通のが常であった蒸気タービンを運転する作る。飽和蒸気はドラムの上抜かれ、過熱装置で炉を入力し直す。蒸気および水混合物は暴徒の管、蒸気と水滴別のデミスターから成っているドラムinternalsを通して蒸気のドラムに入り乾燥した蒸気を作り出す。蒸気のドラムの底の飽和させた水は降水管の管を貫流する。
